Congratulations to Amelia Miao and Alexandre Fallon on being chosen as 2025 Lexpert Rising Stars: Canada’s Leading Lawyers Under 40.
“This recognition reflects Amelia’s and Alexandre’s outstanding contributions to our firm, our clients and the broader legal community. Their work demonstrates the next generation of leadership at Osler who are innovative, collaborative and committed to excellence,” says Doug Bryce, Osler’s National Managing Partner.
Amelia Miao is a partner in Osler’s Corporate group. Amelia has developed a robust capital markets practice, advising issuers and dealers on a wide range of equity and debt transactions and has been involved in a number of complex and market-shaping deals. She is deeply committed to community leadership and serves as a board director of the Toronto Foundation, a charitable organization that connects philanthropy with community needs, supporting initiatives that advance equity, social justice and sustainability in Toronto and across Canada.
Amelia has also made significant contributions to the legal profession as an adjunct professor in the University of Toronto’s Global Professional LLM program and as a recurring lecturer for Osgoode’s professional development program. She is a member of Osler’s Students Committee and involved with associate and student training and development. Her dedication to mentorship and professional development of the next generation of lawyers is widely recognized by colleagues and students alike.
Alexandre Fallon is a partner in Osler’s Disputes group. He is a dynamic litigator with a broad commercial litigation and regulatory practice, delivering strategic, effective results for clients across Canada. He is widely regarded for his expertise in general commercial litigation but often acts as Osler’s specialist on very specific points of expertise, including language laws, Aboriginal law and environmental and regulatory issues, with a strong track record of success in high-stakes hearings and trials.
Alexandre is also deeply committed to public service and community involvement, including long-standing leadership roles with the Canadian Bar Association, Québec Branch, and as a board member of Intégration Jeunesse du Québec, supporting youth and immigrant communities.
Within Osler, he plays a key role in associate development as a member of the firm’s National Legal Professionals Committee, where he helps ensure equitable work allocation and advancement opportunities. His mentorship and dedication to developing legal talent have had a meaningful impact across the Montréal office and nationally.
