Jesse is a partner in the Competition, International Trade and Foreign Investment Group of our Toronto office. His practice focuses on international trade disputes and investment related matters, cross-border regulatory matters, and customs and commodity taxation matters.
Jesse provides advice to both Canadian and global clients on a wide array of international trade law subjects, including trade remedies, free trade agreements, trade policy, and trade negotiations, World Trade Organization (WTO) disputes, customs compliance, customs/commodity tax planning, cross-border commodity taxation, trade and border security, and cross-border product and digital regulatory compliance.
As counsel of record for over 180 trade remedy matters, Jesse has acted as lead counsel in high-profile international trade and customs cases litigated before Canadian courts and tribunals including the Canadian International Trade Tribunal, the Federal Court of Canada, and the Federal Court of Appeal.
Jesse is particularly well known for being at the forefront of international trade issues affecting businesses and governments in Asia for more than 25 years, Jesse advises global clients on trade policy, market access, supply chains, and trade compliance.
