Madeleine Worndl

Madeleine is an associate in our Disputes group. She maintains a broad civil and commercial litigation practice with a focus on corporate and securities disputes.

Madeleine’s experience includes class action defence, capital markets enforcement including Ontario Securities Commission investigations, as well as matters before the Ontario Capital Markets Tribunal and British Columbia Securities Commission, commercial arbitration, government and internal investigations, insolvency matters and other general commercial litigation.

Madeleine writes extensively on a range of legal topics including corporate and securities law, commercial arbitration, class actions and constitutional law. Her work has been published in the Annual Review of Civil Litigation, 2024 Edition (Thomson Reuters), the Toronto Law Journal (March 2025 Edition) and Key Developments in Environmental Law, 2023 (Thomson Reuters).

Before turning to law, Madeleine trained as a classical musician and obtained her Bachelor of Music in voice performance from the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music. Madeleine remains involved in Toronto’s classical music community, including as co-chair of Music Toronto’s Young Professionals’ Circle, an initiative aimed at growing the next generation of classical music patrons.
